I am a freelance writer, specializing in science and nature.  I spent 30 years in the field of experimental high energy physics, most of it at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in Batavia, Illinois.  I now reside in tidewater Virginia, where I am a Master Naturalist and volunteer at a local observatory.  I have a passion for communicating science to the public.
